Lisa Chowansky
President
After graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Lisa spent the first 10 years of her professional career working as an Account Executive for Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems based in Piscataway, NJ. Her responsibilities included account management for all Johnson & Johnson domestic operating companies. During that time, Lisa was the recipient of the Johnson & Johnson Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the company.
In 1997, Lisa left the corporate world to pursue the growth and development of HC Constructors, Inc., a heavy civil commercial construction company based in Whitehouse Station, NJ. For over 20 years, Lisa has been leading HC Constructors, Inc. as President and Owner. A General Contractor specializing in Sitework, Underground Utilities, and Concrete; HC Constructors, Inc. prides itself on Safety, Integrity and a Solutions Based Approach. Liza Pope
Liza Pope has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry, focused on heavy civil sector such as underground utilities, sitework and concrete.
Liza is from Hawaii where she earned her degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii. Throughout her career has served in the role of Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Director of Operations and Lead Estimator. In her current role as Vice President of Estimating, Liza is responsible for project estimating, contract negotiations, and client relations.
Brett Ehasz
Director of Operations
Brett Ehasz has been involved in Heavy Civil construction for the past 20 years. He has worn many hats in his career as he has served as a Foreman, Superintendent, and Director of Operations.
As Director of Operations at HC Constructors Brett manages over 30 sites and, in collaboration with Project Managers, controls field operations and manpower.
Harry Chowansky
Vice President
Harry Chowansky is Vice President of H.C. Constructors, Inc. and has been working in Construction in the Northeast Region for over 35 years. Harry leads overall operations and business development initiatives in industrial, public sector, higher education, health care, energy and pharmaceutical industries.
Harry currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Utility and Contractors Associations where his roles included Past President (2014), Chairman of the Labor Negotiations Committee(Present), Co-Author of the Clean Soil Act, Department of Labor Committee Member, Legislative Committee Member and Safety Committee Member. Mr. Chowansky also currently serves of the board of Trustees for the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey and is an active member of the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, the New Jersey Utility Association and the NJ Alliance for Action.
Scott McClymont
Controller
After receiving his first controllership over twenty years ago, Scott McClymont has spent the last ten years in the construction industry working for H.C. Constructors, Inc. Before coming to H.C. Constructors, Scott was employed at Handy Store Fixtures Inc., a manufacturer in Newark, N.J. It was a Handy Store Fixtures that Scott received his first controllership.
At H.C. Constructors Inc., Scott is responsible for all finance aspects of the company's health includes daily cash flow issues, banking relationships, financial statement preparation and all other matters concerning finance and the profitability of the company.
Margot Chowansky
Health & Safety Manager
A New Jersey native, Margot Chowansky attended Florida Southern College where she earned her degree in business while playing all four years on the women’s soccer team. After interning for Barton Mallow in Tampa during college, Margot decided to pursue a career in the construction industry. Margot joined HC Constructors in 2017 as the Health & Safety Manager. While managing HC Constructor’s safety program, Margot founded Simple Safety to digitize and streamline construction safety.
